Invites you to join us for an exciting Measured 5K Race or a Casual Fun Run & Walk through Tierrasanta, followed by a complementary Beer Garden.

On Saturday June 29, 2013 the Tierrasanta Foundation and friends are hosting
the first Tierrasanta measured 5K Race and 3rd annual Fun Run & Walk.

If you are a serious runner then join us for a true 5K event using electronic (chip) timing with professionally tabulated post-race results. The 5K Race is the first-ever measured 5,000 meter course held in Tierrasanta.

If you are a casual runner or just want to go for a stroll, a leisurely walk, a dog walk or stroller push through the tree-lined boulevards of Tierrasanta then the Fun Run & Walk is event is for you. Bring the kids, bring your dog, and dress funny for the occasion if you wish.

Free Beer Garden to all participants (age 21 and above): after the Fun Run treat yourself to some suds at the Beer Garden (please bring an ID!) featuring beers donated by Stone Brewery.

Free commemorative shirts to all paying participants: when you sign up be sure to select your T-shirt size.

Early Bib & T-shirt Pickup: Early bib and T-shirt pickup is still to be confirmed, but probably it will be Friday, June 28, 4PM to 7PM, at Road Runner Sports in Kearny Mesa, located at 5553 Copley Drive, San Diego, CA 92111.

Free concert during the Beer Garden (for everyone): we are arranging a musical group to play before and after the Run. Stand by for details.

There are three ways to register for the 5K Race and Fun Run/Walk:

Register online via active.com (using a credit card)
Register on paper via the paper application form:
- first fill out the form and write your check
- then drop off your form and check at the UPS Store in Tierrasanta (in an envelope marked for TF at box 406)
- or mail your form and check to the TF at: TF, 10601-G Tierrasanta Blvd, box 406, San Diego, CA 92124

Any net proceeds will be used to benefit the community (in projects like the ongoing Tierrasanta Community Bandstand project).

This event organized by the Tierrasanta Foundation (TF) and co-sponsored by the Tierrasanta Recreation Council, the Kiwanis Club of Tierrasanta, the Tierrasanta Community Emergency Response Team (T-CERT), the Tierrasanta FireSafe Council (T-FSC), the Tierrasanta Village of San Diego (TVSD) and the Friends of Tierrasanta Canyons (FoTC).
