Tierrasanta Fire Station Initiative

Happy New Year, Tierrasanta!

As we begin a new year, the Tierrasanta Foundation thanks you for being such an important part of our community. Your support brings neighbors together and strengthens the quality of life for all Tierrasantans.

Above, you’ll see members of the Tierrasanta Foundation Board proudly holding a $4,259 check to present to Fire Station 39 — funds raised from last year’s Monster Dash 5K.

This incredible total reflects the power of community. Thank you to every runner, walker, volunteer, sponsor, local business, and donor who participated in or supported the 5K. Your engagement truly makes a difference.

Curious what the station looks like and who works there? Stay tuned for details about an upcoming Fire Station 39 Open House, where you’ll be able to meet our local fire and EMS heroes and tour the station.

Monster Dash 2026 — Halloween Morning!

We’re excited to announce that this year’s Monster Dash 5K will take place on Saturday, October 31 — Halloween morning!

By moving the race to October 31, we’re avoiding key school event conflicts so more youth and families can participate in this fun, fitness-focused tradition. Costumes are encouraged!

Mark your calendars now — it’s going to be festive, active, and meaningful.

Supporting Our Local Heroes

The funds we raise through community events like the Monster Dash 5K go directly back into Tierrasanta through local improvement projects.

This year’s $4,259 donation supports the launch of our Firehouse Facelift initiative — a broader fundraising effort to help improve Fire Station 39’s quarters and facilities. The dedicated firefighters and EMS professionals who serve and protect our neighborhood deserve a station that reflects the importance of their work.
